1833 Quebec Sloop Token Breton# 730 Hole Damage 37VX
Up for sale is a half penny token issued for circulation throughout Upper Canada. The token is dated 1833. In the center is an image of a plow. The legend along the upper half of the token reads, “TO FACILITATE TRADE.” This token and those like it are known as Sloop tokens” because of the image of a small sailing vessel on the reverse.
