Up for sale is a silver Canadian dollar coin struck to commemorate the 100 year anniversary of the history of Calgary. The city has its origins in a North West Mounted Police fort originally named Fort Brisebois and later renamed Fort Calgary. Since then the area has become the largest metropolitan area in the Alberta Province. The reverse displays a cowboy riding a bucking bronco, evocing images of the Calgary Stampede, a multi-day annual rodeo. In the background is the Calgary city skyline to the left and oil refinery towers to the right, representing Calgary's oil industry. Please view photos and feel free to ask questions.
