1935 New Zealand Half Crown VF+ KM# 5 11P7
The current coin lists as: half crown minted for circulation throughout New Zealand. The first coinage distinctly for New Zealand was issued in 1933. Prior to that, English and Australian coinage and banknotes were used. The coins were struck at the Royal Mint in London. The obverse of the coin depicts a portrait of King George V. The reverse displays the crowned coat of arms of New Zealand encircled by a border comprised of Maori carvings. The coin itself is composed of 50% silver with an actual silver weight of 0.2273 Troy ounces of pure silver. Please view photos and feel free to ask questions. We are open to offers.
