Up for sale is a 1933 1/2 crown (1/8 pound) coin issued for New Zealand. Until 1933, New Zealanders used coins from Great Britain, India, and Australia. That year saw the debut of the first distinct coinage issued for New Zealand. The obverse depicts a crowned portrait of King George V. The reverse shows the New Zealand Coat of Arms.
